The Parent Teacher Organization is composed of parent leaders who volunteer their time and resources to enhance the educational experience for all students at Ivey Ranch. Working in partnership with the Ivey Ranch school administration, the PTO organizes programs and services to create richer experiences for our students. Below you’ll find a list of the Board Members, including the description for each position listed. If there’s an open position that you are interested in filling, please reach out to the PTO President(s).

Co-Presidents: Shelly Tavares and Keri Picciolo

Primary responsibilities include:
– Leadership role for the PTO
– Acts as liaison with the school Principal
– Ensures fiscal compliance
– Ensures that general PTO operations and activities adhere to the PTO bylaws
– Presides at PTO board and association meetings
– Designated as an authorized signer for PTO checks, contracts, and authorizations for payment
– Prepares and submits the annual packet to the district


Co-Treasurers: Melissa Nimon and Mary Jo Vatalare

Primary responsibilities include:
– Track and enter all receivables and payables into accounting software
– Collects funds from school and makes bank deposits
– Creates annual budget and reports activity during PTO meetings
– Prepares monthly financial packet for review by President(s)
– Coordinates with third-party accounting support to ensure that all necessary filings are done


Secretary: Cheryl Valenzuela

Primary responsibilities include:
– Prepare agendas for general meetings
– Takes and reports minutes from PTO and related meetings
– Organizes and maintains access to all PTO documents, including bylaws and insurance policies
– Maintains PTO member list
– Works closely with Marketing & Communications Team to ensure proper info is shared


VP, Educational Services: Anna Antenucci

Primary responsibilities include:
– Organizes and oversees Classroom Delegate assignments and communication
– Helps with organizing annual Teacher Appreciation Week
– Organizes spirit activities including: Red Ribbon Week, Spirit Weeks, Read Across America, etc.
– Works with Classroom Delegates to capture candid classroom photos for the yearbook
– Works closely with the Marketing Team to ensure that communications are shared appropriately


VP, Family Events: Amanda Barnes

Primary responsibilities include:
– Works with committees and volunteers to run scheduled Family Events including Harvest Festival
– Ensures that all events meet budgetary restrictions
– Coordinates with the District to obtain necessary permissions
– Arranges for any licensing necessary for the events


VP, Fundraising: Mia Frost

Primary responsibilities include:
– Works to develop fundraising opportunities including dine-outs, product and snack sales, etc.
– Oversees fundraising events including APEX Fun Run, Art to Remember, Holiday Store, etc.
– Works closely with the Marketing Team to ensure families are aware of all fundraising events
– Does not directly oversee Family Events or Spirit Wear Sales
– Coordinates all necessary meetings and calls, sources volunteers, and makes necessary arrangements with the school site for all fundraising events


VP, Merchandising: Kristen Plumb

– Places orders for and tracks all inventory of Spirit Wear
– Tracks and fulfills all online Spirit Wear sales
– Organizes and runs in-person Spirit Wear sales
– Arranges for annual kindergarten welcome shirts

Primary responsibilities include:
– Oversees communications on behalf of the PTO to staff and families
– Oversees social channels utilized by the PTO
– Ensures that the PTO website content is up to date and accurate
– Manages PTO email accounts, storefront, and all other softward used in PTO tech stack


VP, Yearbook: Devina Lopez

Primary responsibilities include:
– Collecting and organizing photos from classroom delegates, teachers, staff, etc.
– Coordination of individual page editing
– Coordination of final order and distribution of yearbooks


5th Grade Representative: Kayla Rykbos

Primary responsibilities include:
– This role is only open to parents who have a current 5th grade student
– Organizes and oversees all fundraising for 5th grade camp
– Oversees the collection of 5th grade baby pictures for the yearbook
– Works closely with yearbook staff and 5th grade Delegates to create candid yearbook pages
– Organizes 5th grade promotion at the end of the school year
